Turkish President Erdogan and Russian President Putin signed an agreement in Moscow on March 5, 2020, which provides for the creation of a “security corridor” along the M4 highway in northern Syria, where Turkish and Russian troops should begin joint patrols on March 16.
Residents of Syria, free of Assad’s regime, began arriving on the M4 Aleppo-Lazzakiya highway, demonstrating their intentions not to let the Russian invaders into the liberated lands.
The Syrians are convinced that since Turkey is in Syria at the invitation of the Syrian people, the opinion of the people should be taken into account and be fundamental for any decisions.
